Henderson, NV (OPENPRESS) March 2, 2008 -- Sterling Promotions, Inc., a Las Vegas based boxing promotion company headed by Sterling McPherson. has signed an exclusive five year deal with the TVS Television Network to provide pay per view boxing cards to a worldwide audience through the TVS broadband network. Headed by Las Vegas based fight promoter Sterling McPherson, current promoter of the Mike Tyson World Tour, Sterling Promotions will create regular boxing events from Las Vegas and other venues to TVS. TVS will present the events worldwide on a Pay Per View Basis. TVS is presently seen in 162 countries via its TV4U.Com video on demand broadband network.
"We are very excitited to be working with Sterling McPherson on this project," said TVS Chairman Tom Ficara. "This is the most exciting bit of boxing on TV that we have been involved with since we started Dan Duva out with the Stroh's Fight of the Month on the Mizlou Television Network."
TVS will telecast all of Sterling's live boxing promotions, including a weekly series based in Las Vegas and two monthly series based in Las Vegas. The program begins April 15 in Las Vegas. In September, Sterling will add a second weekly fight from Las Vegas.

Fights cards will be international in scope in order to reflect the 162 country audience of TVS. Each fight card will feature fighters from around the world.

Founded in 1961, TVS has produced and distributed many majoe sports ansd entertainmwent events including the NCAA College Basketball Championship Tournament, Ladies Pro Bowlers Tour, AIAW Championships, Alan King Tennis Classic, Major College Basketball, College Bowl Games, and Frank Sinatra: The Main Event. TVS now produces private broadband and digital TV networks in an array of genres, utiliaing its 10,000 title sports and entertainment library. TVS also produces sponsor branded sports and entertainment programming for distribution.
