New York, NY (OPENPRESS) October 11, 2006 -- In a recent interview former U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey speaks strongly against "incompetence and corruption" behind White House policy in Iraq.
"Where we're heading right now is to defeat," Kerrey told Robert Millis in a recent interview on video blog American Microphone. "So I'm all in favor of cut and run from a strategy that has been incompetent, been corrupt and it's been ineffective."
During the discussion, Kerrey also decried George W. Bush's departure from his father's policy of employing "overwhelming force" as a military strategy to dominate the battlefield. Then asked if an increase in troops might be on the horizon to maintain security, Kerrey said it would be impossible because U.S. forces are already overextended.
"A draft would be bad for the U.S. military," said Kerrey, "but good for the public."
