Does Britain Have Another Ripper?
December 13th 2006 09:37
The Age reports that three prostitutes have been found dead with another two missing in the town of Ipswitch in eastern England. Police believe the murders are probably by the same man who has already being nicknamed the "Ipswitch Ripper".
Britain has a history of killers targeting prostitutes. The most famous of course was "Jack the Ripper" who it is believed killed five prostitutes in east London in 1888. The other is the "Yorkshire Ripper" Peter Sutcliffe, who murdered 13 women in northern England from 1975 to 1980.
Maybe if they stop nicknaming these guys "Ripper", copycats woudn't keep surfacing.
